Golden Boy Coaches Given Six Stars for Safety
For the first time in the UK a star rating system for coach operators has been introduced and already Golden Boy Coaches has achieved the maximum six stars.
The scheme is called Busk Benchmark and rates an operator purely on safety. The aim is to give group organisers peace of mind when hiring transport. By hiring a coach from a BUSK Benchmark member they can be confident that all the relevant background checks have been done and that the operator meets all the high standards required.

Colin's just the ticket
for Coach Driver of the Year
We are delighted to announce that our driver, Colin Morton has won the coveted title of “Coach Driver of the Year”. This award is presented to the coach driver who has best demonstrated excellent performance from the customer perspective in the 12 month period to the end of December 2010.
To win the title of Coach Driver of the Year, nominees need to go that extra mile to provide the customer’s ideal: a driver who is friendly, helpful, conscientious and mindful of passengers’ comfort and well-being – in short, a true professional and worthy ambassador for the job.
Colin has over 30 years' experience with us and his professionalism, driving skill and friendliness means that he is the preferred driver for numerous clients. His knowledge and experience is legendary and, as an excellent ambassador for the company Colin has appeared regularly at the UK Coach Rally and is entrusted with Golden Boy's flagship Van Hool Astronef coach.
Olympic Gold
Golden Boy Coaches has recently been announced as one of the 44 contractors from all over the UK and Ireland which will be transporting athletes, team officials and the media during the London 2012 Games.
To be considered for the task we had to go through a long and competitive tender process which started back in 2009. We wanted to take part as London is so close to us and the London 2012 Games will be a once in a lifetime opportunity that we do not want to miss. We have already allocated a number of coaches for the games and look forward to a busy year ahead.
